Arnold Joel
Silverberg a
world traveler born in Philadelphia, has spent more than 20 years in the gem
and jewelry industry. After studying at
university, Arnie moved west, traveling throughout the American Indian
reservations of
the southwestern United |
 |
 |
| States. Trading in turquoise and
silver jewelry, rugs, and pottery, he soon |
|
 |
 |
became one of the largest dealers of American Indian jewelry in the
United States, selling to a diverse clientele that included museums, department stores and
retail shops. This experience buying and trading in turquoise gems as well as fine
collectibles served as a good foundation for a lifetime of travel and dealing |
|
| with exotic peoples throughout
the world. In the late 1970s Arnie moved even further west to Los Angeles, California. There
he began to design and manufacture fine gold jewelry set with diamonds and precious stones
for movie stars, |

rock stars, department stores
and retail establishments. This business eventually drew him even further west -- across
the Pacific Ocean to |
 |
 |
|
| the Far East where
he went in search of fine gemstones. This fascinating business soon caught his full
interest and before you could say "Burma ruby" he was living in Thailand and
traveling the world, in search of the finest gemstones. |
