Amblygonite is a rare natural colored gem. The color of loose Amblygonite can be yellow, white, grayish white, colorless, bluish, tan, pinkish and greenish. Amblygonite has a hardness of 5.5 to 6 on the Mohs scale. Amblygonite's name comes from the Greek words for "blunt angles" in allusion to its variously angled cleavages.
